Starter Supplies for Essential Oils

Getting started with oils can be overwhelming & I get so many questions on what other support items to get with your first set of oils. I put together a list of my favorite things that I use on a daily basis, so it's all in one place for you.

But first, if you are interested in getting started with essential oils, start here!

Carrier Oils

A carrier oil is what you use as a base when making roller bottles or dropper bottles, where the oil will then be applied to your skin. You can use any oil you want that is liquid at room temperature like Jojoba Oil, Fractionated Coconut Oil, Hazelnut Oil, Sweet Almond Oil, and even Olive Oil!

Here are links to the ones I use!

Fractionated Coconut Oil - This is my go to carrier oil. I use it in my rollers and dropper bottles. I also keep it in a pump next to my makeup so I can pump a few drops into my hand and add a drop or two of whatever essential oil I’m feeling at the moment. https://amzn.to/3XoJ0UF

Jojoba Oil - I use this as part of my face serum along with the Hazelnut oil on this list and Vitamin E oil. Then I add drops of lavender, roman chamomile, & frankincense essential oils because they are MAGICAL for your skin!https://amzn.to/3IcM0PO

Vitamin E Oil - I add this oil to my face serum but I also love it for the ends of my hair! https://amzn.to/3DQpBVZ

Hazelnut Oil - This is an amazing addition to my face serum but also works as a carrier oil on its own if you have allergies to the others https://amzn.to/3JURMqH

Sweet Almond Oil - So good for the skin! And it’s so smooth, I love adding this to the face serum as well. https://amzn.to/3YjtY42

Other Favorites

There are a few other products that I love to use with my oils that make things like bath time feel like a spa or a breezy pollen filled day more bearable!

Epsom Salt - Add one to three drops of your favorite oil to one to two cups of Epsom salt and add to your bath! Don’t have a tub? No problem! Grab a container big enough for your feet and put your Epsom salt and warm water in there! Soaking your body or just your feet in Epsom salt is a great way to use your oils and get some extra magnesium into your body! https://amzn.to/3JUSDYr

Alcohol Free Witch Hazel - I use this if I’m mixing essential oils in water. The witch hazel helps distribute the oils evenly in recipes for room sprays, fabric spray, makeup setting spray, and garden sprays. https://amzn.to/3Xhrlys

Oil + Glass - This book has so many good oily recipes in it! I reference it often, especially when I'm making gifts for friends. https://amzn.to/3jOZtnx

Oil Bottles & Rollers

Amber Glass Bottles - I like this set a lot for anyone who is just getting started with oils and wants a good selection of bottles and rollers. https://amzn.to/3YFsxfW

Amber Glass Bottles with Pump - These are the bottles I have to split up the Thieves Laundry Soap. I use three of the bottles and keep the 4th as an extra just in case I break one. https://amzn.to/3DWKYVE

Floral Roller Set - I love the amber rollers from the first link but I also love having some cute rollers! I love making perfume type blends in these. https://amzn.to/3HG99IY

Dropper Tops - these tops are perfect for essential oils that are thicker, like Vetiver, and harder to get out of their bottles. https://amzn.to/3XenLox

Car Diffuser - I keep this baby in my car at all times. It has a usb plug in so you can also use it as a portable diffuser wherever you are. Think hotel room, space next to your computer while you’re working, next to the tub while you watch Netflix on your laptop. https://amzn.to/3IlPeRj

Thanks for checking out my favorites! I'll be keeping this list updated as I find things I love, so make sure to bookmark it!
